Jamie Oliver's Food Revolution is a television series which premiered on ABC on March 21, 2010 at 10:00PM Eastern/9:00PM Central. The show is hosted by Jamie Oliver and produced by Ryan Seacrest and Jamie Oliver.
Oliver, a celebrity chef and health campaigner in England, uses a grassroots campaign in the US to curb obesity. His efforts are focused in Huntington, West Virginia, statistically one of the unhealthiest cities in the country.^[1] In an early trailer for the show, Oliver challenges a group of 1st graders to identify fruits and vegetables, and they are unable to.^[2] The show appears to roll together the concepts from at least two of his previous tv series' campaigns in England: Jamie's Ministry of Food and Jamie's School Dinners.
